Queen Maxima was mastering monochrome style long before it was all over your Pinterest feed. The Dutch royal is an expert at curating the perfect color-coordinated outfits, and I’ve most definitely used her as monochrome fashion inspiration on more than one occasion.<\/p>\n

With that being said, the mom of three’s style is incredibly underrated and just as deserving of the headlines of royal counterparts from across the way like Queen Letizia and the Duchess of Cambridge. What makes her stand out \u2014 beside the fact that she’s a royal \u2014 is that she’s unafraid to wear unique patterns, bold colors, and unexpected jewelry (i.e., her snake earrings from October 2020). I don’t know about you, but I’m desperate to look inside her wardrobe, which is complete with high-end fashion from Italian fashion house Valentino<\/a>, Dutch designer Jan Taminiau, and British label Seren London.<\/p>\n

Queen Maxima’s been mastering the art of monochrome fashion long before she became the first queen consort of the Netherlands in April 2013. Nearly two decades ago, she was photographed in a chic and sophisticated gold pantsuit that we wouldn’t be surprised to see a celeb wear on the red carpet today. She even wore all royal blue (from her jewels to her gown) to her and her husband’s inauguration ceremony in 2013.<\/p>\n

Wearing all-ivory, the royal paid a surprise visit to a supermarket in Nijmegen. She paired the look with tan and gold accessories which included espadrilles, a clutch, and gold earrings.<\/p>\n

For a family portrait in honor of King Willem-Alexander’s birthday, Queen Maxima donned a floral jumpsuit from the British label Seren London, which she paired with bright red heels, a wide white belt, and green earrings.<\/p>\n

This is undoubtedly one of the royal’s most iconic looks of all time. She debuted this navy blue and beige look by Dutch designer Jan Taminiau on the second day of her China visit in 2018.<\/p>\n
