If you’ve been keeping up with Euphoria<\/em><\/a>, then you know the show is always filled with twists and turns. The next episode, which drops on Sunday, January 30, may throw a curveball our way<\/a>, though.<\/p>\n

In the promo trailer, Rue (played by Zendaya<\/strong><\/a>) says, “Please God, don’t let Jules find out what I’m about to do.” Additionally, it seems like Nate<\/a> (Jacob Elordi<\/strong>) and Maddy<\/a> (Alexa Demie<\/strong>) are getting even closer.<\/p>\n

But the kicker is that there seems to be a funeral scene \u2014 and Rue and Elliot (Dominic Fike<\/strong>) are in attendance. So, who is dead?<\/p>\n

Of course, the internet has a ton of theories \u2014 one being that Rue is actually not alive.<\/p>\n

One person wrote, “Tonight episode was really really good. You felt bad for Cal. But I felt bad for Rue and was pissed at her for lying to Gia. And what she said to Ali Jules seems like she has a crush on Elliot Rue selling drugs is crazy twist and I don\u2019t like it\u2026 Did anyone else notice this??? Jules and Elliot in the church together<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

“No no no no no NOT RUE. I love rue don\u2019t freaking kill her omfg,” another exclaimed, while another added, “i feel like rue has actually been dead this whole time by the way she narrates this whole show, it\u2019s all a recap leading up to her own faults which lead to her death in the very end.”<\/p>\n

Others believe that Ali, Rue’s N.A. sponsor, will be killed off \u2014 especially after the way Rue spoke to him in last week’s episode.<\/p>\n

One person speculated, “Rue\/Ali scene was tough. Sadly, it had to happen for Rue character to show how far gone she is<\/a>. Ppl keep saying F Rue. She\u2019s a drug addict who cares about herself. The show has to show that. I feel if Ali relapse and dies. Rue will be broken with guilt which will be turning pt,” while another said, “Am I the only one that thinks they\u2019re setting up Ali\u2019s death?”<\/p>\n

Since Euphoria<\/em> is known for their daydream scenes<\/a> \u2014 remember when Rue danced around her house like she was in a musical? \u2014 it could all be fake. “that funeral scene in euphoria better be a flashback to rue\u2019s dad\u2019s death and not ali\u2019s funeral,” one person said, while another wrote, “Is rue imagining her own funeral in the next euphoria episode?”<\/p>\n
