And Just Like That<\/em> costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago made sure to balance opulent fashion moments with utilitarian chic outfits as the cast of stylish New Yorkers sported coveralls and dungarees in episode 9. In this week’s installment, “No Strings Attached,” Seema (Sarita Choudhury<\/a>) and Carrie hit the club, Carrie gets dolled up\u00a0for a date night with potential new beau Peter<\/a>, and then dress down for some charitable manual labor.<\/p>\n

What gets the core trio (Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda) and their new friends in workwear, is during their venture to Brooklyn to finish painting the women\u2019s shelter that Miranda has been helping organize with her professor and friend Dr. Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman).<\/p>\n

Here,\u00a0GRAZIA<\/em>\u00a0places a spotlight\u00a0on the\u00a0best fashion moments of episode 9 of\u00a0And Just Like That<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Showing up to her date with Peter just to let him down gently, Carrie struggles with moving on after Mr. Big\u2019s death. Dressed in a sheer button-down blouse embroidered with black lace, Carrie subtlety wears an Intimissimi\u2019s \u201cDaniela Pretty Flower\u201d balconette bra underneath while accessorizing with a shimmering NAKARD by Nak Armstrong Baguette Tile Rivi\u00e8re Necklace in Black Spinel<\/a>. Pairing her look with an A-line lacey black midi skirt, our favorite former sex columnist carries a customized tulle-covered version of Christian Louboutin\u2019s bubblegum pink \u201cMary Jane\u201d bucket bag.<\/p>\n

Unknowingly out to celebrate Seema’s birthday, Carrie and her new posh friend wait in line (for the first time since getting vaccinated) to get into a hot new club so that they may dance the night away. Seema goes for a shimmering navy boatneck, strong-shouldered evening dress, while Carrie is sleek and chic in her ensemble. With a slicked back, braided bun and chandelier earrings, Carrie dons a fit similar to her Norma Kamali one-shoulder silhouette from episode 7<\/a>. This time, costume designers Rogers and Santiago confirmed during an Instagram Live, that Carrie wore a vintage ivory and red floral frock altered from a traditional cheongsam (also known as a qipao), a style with origins dating back to 1920s China.<\/p>\n

After waiting long enough, the two women see if there’s something they can work out with the doorman. When Carrie’s speech doesn’t move the needle, and Seema’s bribe doesn’t take, the two reluctantly give up with Seema asking, “Was I just cancelled by a doorman?”<\/p>\n

As the girls get down and dirty for a good cause to fix up the women’s shelter, Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte dress in utilitarian chic get-ups. And naturally, Carrie is the only one still clad in her beloved heels.<\/p>\n

With a paint roller and her Thanx God I’m a V.I.P. purple and turquoise striped tote bag in hang, Carrie sports a pair of vintage GAP white denim overalls and sky-high Aquazzura “Luna” silver and gold leather platform sandals (style note: the crystal heel feature was customized). Miranda, on the other hand, is dressed a bit more practically with her navy long-sleeve tee, distressed flannel, Madewell “Griff” tapered army green cargo pants, and Reebok hi-wedge sneakers.<\/p>\n

Maybe not the best day for Charlotte to wear a monochromatic all-white ensemble, but she’s always one to fully commit to a look. Taking workwear to the next level, Charlotte dons a crisp Free People “Marci” coverall jumpsuit, paired with her Superga “2790 Acotw” sneakers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Certainly perfecting the art of making a dramatic entrance, the documentarian, humanitarian, and International Vogue<\/em> Best-Dressed list recipient Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker<\/a>) comes through to save the day. Bringing along her film equipment to accelerate the women’s shelter’s exposure, LTW also pulls strings to fix a catering problem for all of the volunteers’ lunch, all the while looking like a straight-up runway model in head-to-toe Moschino Fall\/Winter 2021. Clad in the Italian fashion house’s “Safari Essential Kit” jacket and over-the-knee lace up boots, Charlotte’s new gal pal proves she can really do it all (except use a microphone properly, of course).<\/p>\n

Trying once again to enter the club scene, this time in Brooklyn, Seema and Carrie are fully ready for a stylish girl’s night out. After Seema inadvertently meets (and flirts with) the owner of “the hottest club in Brooklyn,<\/a>” while smoking on the sidelines rather than painting at the women’s shelter, Carrie and Seema walk right in, avoiding any unwanted lines. With Seema in her signature neutral hues, Carrie directly contrasts her in a bold, hot pink silk blazer, ready to go for a hot night on the
