Lucy Hale<\/strong><\/a> spent seven years playing Aria Montgomery in Freeform<\/a>‘s Pretty Little Liars<\/em>, which aired from 2010 to 2017. Now, HBO Max is bringing the series back, but this time around, a new town will be front and center of the show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In September 2020, the streamer revealed more information about Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin<\/em><\/a>, which was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa<\/strong> and Lindsay Calhoon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls \u2014 a brand-new set of Little Liars \u2014 find themselves tormented by an unknown assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-RAGE, horror-tinged drama\u00a0Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin<\/em>, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing\u00a0Pretty Little Liars<\/em> universe \u2014 in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars<\/a>,” the description reads.<\/p>\n

Chandler Kinney<\/strong>, Maia Reficco<\/strong>, Bailee Madison<\/strong>, Zaria<\/strong> and Malia Pyles<\/strong> are set to star \u2014 but will any of the original cast \u2014 Hale, Troian Bellisario<\/strong>, Shay Mitchell<\/strong>, Ashley Benson<\/strong> and Sasha Pieterse<\/strong> \u2014 be joining?<\/p>\n

Hale admitted she “totally would” appear on the reboot if she was asked. “I mean, if they were like, ‘Lucy, do you want to play a mom?’ I’m like, ‘I’m not quite that old yet. OK?'” she joked.<\/p>\n

“I’m excited for this new group of girls<\/a>. I hope it does well. I really do,” she added. “I think people want me to be upset about it and I’m stoked for them. I want to watch. It’s exciting.”<\/p>\n

The brunette beauty, 32, who rose to fame when she starred on the hit series<\/a>, wants the new ladies to be excited about the upcoming opportunity.<\/p>\n

“Just enjoy it. Your life’s going to change. Just soak it all in. I wasn’t always that way. I was always thinking 10 steps ahead, so I would miss out on moments. Ride the wave. Stay around good people,” she advised.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the actress has nothing but fond memories from working<\/a> on PLL<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“[I’m] grateful for it. Grateful for all it brought to me,” she said. “I now get to do all different types of roles because of that show. I’ll never forget that. I’ll always have gratitude for that<\/a>.”<\/p>\n
