The French fashion awards ANDAM is back around for its 2022 competition. This time around, young and promising designers<\/a> won’t only be competing for the grand prize of 300,000 euros, but the awards have added an additional special prize worth 100,000 euros to the stakes. The special prize comes in part from social platform Instagram and e-retailer Mytheresa<\/a>.com, two digital powerhouses joining ANDAM’s sponsors, including the French Ministry of Culture, Balenciaga<\/a>, Yves Saint Laurent, Les Galeries Lafayette, and LVMH. The new digital-savvy sponsors will mentor this year’s winner in digital native strategies and communication.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the grand prize and special prize, the winner and runner-up will have the opportunity to be mentored by Chanel’s president of fashion, Bruno Pavlovsky. Pavlosky, who also was a mentor of the 2015 ANDAM awards, will extend his knowledge of the industry by offering one-year mentorship on creative and strategic approaches to succeed as a new fashion business in 2022. “More than ever, young creativity is important, and the latest edition proved that the question is not having to find talents \u2014 there is a wealth of them \u2014 but how to equip and help these talents in their entrepreneurial adventures,” He reveals in an interview to WWD.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the grand prize and special prize, other finalists will also have the chance to take home the ANDAM\u00a0<\/span>Pierre Berg\u00e9 prize\u00a0, worth 100,000 euros, the\u00a0Accessories prize\u00a0of 50,000 euros, and the\u00a0Prix \u200b\u200bde l’Innovation, worth 50,000 euros, which is awarded to a start-up to bring their business idea to life. The application to join this year’s ANDAM Awards are now open at andam.fr until the deadline on March 31. The coveted jury, which last year included big names like Blackpink’s Lisa, and fashion designers Kerby Jean-Raymond and Phoebe Philo, will be announced in February and finalist in May. The big award ceremony is scheduled for June 30.
