Photographer: Juergen Teller<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Fans of the animated fantasy film <em>Spirited Away<\/em> will rejoice at the news that Spanish house Loewe has created a capsule fashion collection featuring its kitsch\u00a0characters. The super cute line of knitwear, puffers, jeans, handbags, shoes, scarves and blankets, is being described as &#8220;a wearable movie&#8221; by the luxury brand, which is helmed by creative director Jonathan Anderson.\u00a0In line with the hand-drawn artistic nature of the characters, artisanal techniques were employed by Loewe \u2014 including Japanese <em>boro<\/em> which patchworks indigo-dyed scraps\u2014to create the designs which see the young protagonist Chihiro Ogino and sorceress Yubaba rendered as jacquards, print, appliqu\u00e8s, patchworks, leather marquetry and adorned with pompoms and tufts.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_46199\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-46199\" style=\"width: 768px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-46199 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2022\/01\/MicrosoftTeams-image-4.jpg?w=768\" alt=\"Loewe x Spirited Away Collection.\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-46199\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Loewe x Spirited Away Collection. It is magical,\u201d<\/em> says Anderson who is out to send a fun, happy, inclusive message via the collection, which he describes as the collection is one of<em> &#8220;uplifting dreaminess and progressive multiplicity.\u201d<\/em> Topping the rankings as one of the best films of the 21st century, Spirited Away, by Japan\u2019s Studio Ghibli and director Hayao Miyazaki a won the Academy Award for the best-animated feature in 2003.
