The world lost an icon on Friday, December 31, when it was announced that Betty White<\/strong> died at the age of 99 years old<\/a> \u2014 just a few weeks before her milestone birthday.<\/p>\n

Of course, tributes poured in immediately, with Ryan Reynolds<\/strong> being one of the first to take to Instagram to share his feelings.<\/p>\n

“The world looks different now. She was great at defying expectation<\/a>. She managed to grow very old and somehow, not old enough. We\u2019ll miss you, Betty. Now you know the secret,” he wrote.<\/p>\n
