Overnight\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>published damning claims against\u00a0Sex and the City\u00a0<\/em>star, Chris Noth<\/a>. According to the publication, two women came forward (months apart and without prior knowledge of each other) to accuse the actor of sexual assault as the recent promotion of And Just Like That<\/em> proved triggering for the women.<\/p>\n

To protect their privacy, false names are used. One woman, Zoe, was 22 at the time when Noth allegedly coerced her up to his apartment and raped her in 2004. She had just graduated college before getting a job at a high-profile firm in Los Angeles where Noth was a client. “This was peak Sex and the City,\u201d she said. \u201cHe was like a god to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The second woman, Lily, was 25 when she was assaulted in 2015. She was a server in the VIP section of the now-shuttered New York nightclub No.8 and was asked to dinner. The time he had set meant the kitchen was closed so they drank wine at the bar until Lily said she was “near blacking out”. The actor took her back to his apartment where she was assaulted. Noth was 60 and married with one child at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure how you go about this sort of story and how you find the other victims,\u201d Lily wrote in an email to THR <\/em>in August. Zoe contacted THR <\/em>in October. \u201cSeeing that he was reprising his role in Sex and the City set off something in me,\u201d she said. \u201cFor so many years, I buried it.\u201d She decided it was time \u201cto try to go public with who he is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noth has swiftly denied all allegations. In a statement made to the publication he said, “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago\u2014no always means no\u2014that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”<\/p>\n

Following the allegations, Peloton pulled its recent And Just Like That\u00a0<\/em>commercial<\/a> with the actor.<\/p>\n
