(Photo by Kevin Mazur\/Getty Images for Netflix)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the lead up to the highly-anticipated release of\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/jennifer-lawrence-leonardo-dicaprio-dont-look-up-film\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Don&#8217;t Look Up<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>on Netflix later this month, director Adam McKay recalled the moment <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/camila-morrone-leonardo-dicaprio-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a> opposed to having co-star <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/meryl-streep-i-am-of-a-generation-that-waited-to-be-asked-to-dance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meryl Streep<\/a> participate in a nude scene. The 72-year-old actress plays President Janie Orlean who is reportedly seen nude from the back in one small snippet of the film.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2021\/dec\/13\/adam-mckay-leo-sees-meryl-as-film-royalty-he-didnt-like-seeing-her-with-a-lower-back-tattoo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Guardian<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>McKay said Streep &#8220;is fearless.&#8221; \u201cAnd yes, that is a body double. But you know who had a problem with it? Leo [DiCaprio],&#8221; McKay told the publication. &#8220;Leo just views Meryl as film royalty \u2026 although maybe royalty is not a compliment \u2026 but as such a special figure in the history of film.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The filmmaker added, \u201cHe didn\u2019t like seeing her with the lower back tattoo, walking for a second naked. He said something to me like: \u2018Do you really need to show that?\u2019 And I was like: \u2018It\u2019s President Orlean; it\u2019s not Meryl Streep.\u2019 But she didn\u2019t even blink. She didn\u2019t even bring it up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DiCaprio starred alongside Streep in the 1996 drama\u00a0<em>Marvin&#8217;s Room,\u00a0<\/em>but according to a recent interview the\u00a0<em>Titanic\u00a0<\/em>actor admitted that he and the cast were nervous to share a film set the with queen of film &#8211; fair enough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou get to work with the greatest living actor in the world. Everyone\u2019s on their toes. Everyone\u2019s prepared, and we\u2019re just trying to keep up with her,\u201d he told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/movies\/lifestylewhatshot\/leonardo-dicaprio-dishes-on-working-with-meryl-streep\/vi-AARx6Zu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">E! News<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"DON&#039;T LOOK UP | Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence | Official Trailer | Netflix\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RbIxYm3mKzI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Buzz is certainly growing for\u00a0<em>Don&#8217;t Look Up.\u00a0<\/em>The film boasts an all-star cast and also features Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Ron Perlman, Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Mark Rylance and Cate Blanchett. The film has already been nominated for a slew of Golden Globe Awards and Critics Choice Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The early success is no surprise however.
