There are so many headlines popping on the internet right now in regard to the release of this new book excerpt. There\u2019s the one about Kate Middleton making little effort to help Meghan Markle assimilate into Royal life<\/a>. There\u2019s the other about it actually being Prince Harry\u2019s decision \u2013 and not his wife\u2019s \u2013 to step back from Royal duties (Markle apparently wanted to try everything before coming to this decision).<\/a><\/p>\n

But the reason Finding Freedom<\/em> \u2013 a book penned by reliable Royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand \u2013 will do so well is because, politics aside, it deep dives into the Duke and Duchess\u2019 relationship. And yes, as this headline promises, it covers who said \u201cI love you\u201d first.<\/p>\n

Of course it was Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

The new biography reveals the couple were \u201cobsessed\u201d with one another after their first date at London\u2019s Dean Street Townhouse. Describing it as a \u201cpalpable attraction,\u201d the book says the couple raved about one another to friends, Markle allegedly telling her circle that the relationship \u201ccould have legs.\u201d The Royal left feeling in a \u201ctrance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another cute little fact: the couple reportedly didn\u2019t kiss on their first date. The whirlwind relationship then saw a second date and a third before the Prince whisked the actress off on a trip to Botswana in South Africa.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe came back smiling and just completely spellbound,\u201d a friend describes in the book.<\/p>\n

What lay before them would test their relationship in a way they never would have imagined. But, together, they got through it \u2013 and after a spectacular exit from life inside the palace walls \u2013 they seemingly have finally found peace living in Los Angeles with their one-year-old son Archie.<\/p>\n
