New mom Gigi Hadid posted her first Instagram selfie<\/a> since giving birth to her daughter with Zayn Malik in September. In the photo, the supermodel embraces one of the hottest trends of fall 2020: <\/span>vote-inspired merch<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Don’t get us wrong: We\u00a0<\/span>love<\/span><\/em> behind-the-scenes pics of Hadid’s high-fashion photoshoots, and we’re super impatient to see photos of her little girl. But right now, it’s more important than ever that stars use their platforms to encourage their followers to vote. Not only does she proudly show off her “vote” T-shirt, but she shares a message with her fans about why they need to cast their ballot.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the mirror selfie, Hadid wears Nepalese-American fashion designer\u00a0<\/span>Prabal Gurung’s When We All V<\/span>ote Tee<\/span><\/a> ($115) \u2013 available now. She takes her long hair down for the photo and styles the T-shirt with high-waisted yellow pants and layered gold necklaces. <\/span><\/p>\n

Fifteen percent of the shirt’s proceeds are going to When We All Vote<\/a>, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase voter participation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the accompanying caption, Hadid wrote, “I voted absentee last week with my daughter next to me, for an America I want her to see; but not just for us \u2013 for fellow Americans that are less privileged, with hope for a nation that is unified, that is empathetic, & for a leader that is compassionate.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Gurung released the black “Vote” tee this past September. “INTRODUCING THE WHEN WE ALL VOTE T-SHIRT with a bold design inspired by the Prabal Gurung ethos “Stronger in Color,” the designer shared on Instagram<\/a>. “The VOTE t-shirt is a declaration of intent to make your voice heard this upcoming election. Your vote is your power, and the best way you can ensure your beliefs and values are represented is by registering to vote, and by voting!”<\/p>\n

Now, if Hadid’s selfie brought on a case of dej\u00e0 vu, that’s probably because you’ve seen her wearing the T-shirt before. The California native has a (very) similar Prabal Gurung T-shirt in white, and she wore it in November 2018, while out and about in NYC. She wore the top underneath a black blazer, paired with jeans, Stuart Weitzman boots, and a mini orange Stalvey bag. The eye-catching ensemble was the work of Hadid’s stylist, Mimi Cuttrell.<\/em><\/p>\n

Gurung introduced the world to his vote shirt for the first time in September 2018 during New York Fashion Week. At the end of his Spring 2019 show, the designer walked the runway wearing the colorful tee.<\/p>\n

The T-shirt was initially a part of Moda Operandi’s “Rock the Vote” collaboration<\/a>. It cost $100, and all of the proceeds went towards the non-profit organization. It’s no longer available in white, so scooping it up in black is your next best option.<\/p>\n
