With hundreds of millions of social media followers, Jennifer Lopez’s<\/a> influence is undeniable. The actress is no stranger to influencing: She’s convinced us to get off the couch thanks to her post-workout selfies and pick up the latest and greatest perfume from her fragrance empire. Most recently, though, J. Lo’s focused on making sure her followers are voting in the 2020 election.<\/span><\/p>\n

To do that, she’s informing her followers about why she’s voting, but she’s also making a statement through her fashion choices. On Sunday, October 24, the\u00a0<\/span>Hustlers\u00a0<\/span><\/em>star tweeted a photo<\/a> of herself wearing a cozy-looking ensemble: an oversized cable-knit sweater from Brunello Cucinelli, black leggings, and Air Jordan 1 Low SE White Metallic Gold kicks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For accessories, the triple-threat wore black sunglasses, gold hoops, and a personalized Coach Field Tote in Chalk Taupe<\/a>. This colorway is available for pre-order for $450 and will ship starting November 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hitmaker customized the bag with the word “VOTE” in blue font using the Americal label’s Coach Create service<\/a>. If you can’t wait for the new tote to drop, there are other Coach bag personalization options. Head to the brand’s website, specifically its virtual customization shop. There, you can add up to four letters or numbers of text and pick your font color.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the accompanying tweet, Lopez wrote, “Voting is always in style @Coach #MyCoconuts.” A day prior, the “On the Floor” singer tweeted<\/a>, “This election is too important. It’s about more than just politics… it’s about the character of our country. It’s about decency and doing what is right for all people.”<\/p>\n

Many celebs are using this time to encourage voter participation, and Lopez is one of the many stars who’s using fashion to make a political statemen<\/a>t. Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Michelle Obama are just a few more celebs to do so.<\/p>\n

It’s not too much of a surprise that J. Lo’s expressing herself via the fashion brand Coach. The Bronx native’s been a fan of the brand for years, and she even became a global ambassador for the brand in November 2019. She announced the collaboration on social media with a stunning black-and-white photo<\/a> by NYC-based photographer Ben Rosser.<\/p>\n

“It is a timeless brand that I’ve always been a fan of, and the upcoming collection really speaks to my personal style \u2013\u2013 an uptown\/downtown mix.”<\/p>\n

Her first campaign, named Originals Go Their Own Way, went live in January 2020. It was shot in her hometown of New York City by Juergen Teller, who truly captured Lopez in her element. She modeled Coach’s colorful new bags, including the Hutton, the Rambler, along with the line’s new equally as vibrant apparel launches.<\/p>\n

“I have a unique history with Coach that dates back to ‘All I Have,'” said Lopez in a statement announcing the new campaign. “It is a brand that embodies the essence of being born and bred in New York, and I, of course, deeply relate to that.”<\/p>\n

Lopez’s latest tweet showing off her vote-themed bag isn’t part of a professional campaign \u2014 it’s straight from her real life. And perhaps that’s the most powerful of all.<\/p>\n
