For creative director of <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/celine-fall-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celine<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/icon.ink\/articles\/hedi-slimane-mubi-movie-watch-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hedi Slimane<\/a>, it served as the inspiration and backdrop to Spring\/Summer 2022. We&#8217;re provided with sweeping images of historic statues and glimpses of the iconic Le Negresco hotel. The famous pink dome which usually boasts its own name is replaced with &#8220;Celine&#8221;. The neighboring Villa Mass\u00e9na is also featured as is a birds-eye shot of the Astronomical Observatory.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"CELINE 12 WOMEN SUMMER 22\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Aa8Lz91sCl4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Similarly to the venues that surrounded it, the runway was fuelled by historic House signatures, French classicism and of course Slimane&#8217;s infamous affinity with gritty sportswear and grungy denim. On one hand there was the timeless appeal of crisp tailoring and timeless accessories &#8211; Parisian chic. In a reference to our obsession with Y2K-<em>esque <\/em>style however, oversized sweat sets emblazoned in sequins, windbreakers and cargo pants were also on display. Throughout the film, it does however receive an elevated touch thanks to a peppering of voluminous gowns and slinky sequinned dresses.
