Now that Halloween is over and November is here, I am in full holiday mode! And although I haven\u2019t stopped burning my fall candles and taken down my pumpkins just quite yet, I have still been stocking up on all of my new holiday home d\u00e9cor so that I\u2019m ready to revamp my space as soon as Thanksgiving ends. This year, my decorations are coming from one place and one place only \u2014 H&M. My favorite purchase from their curated collection is definitely their gold-plated, stainless steel candle holder. So, no, this isn\u2019t the song that had me literally weeping during a press screening of\u00a0Cyrano<\/i>\u00a0last week. However, this one, the first single released from the film\u2019s soundtrack, is no less gorgeous and rousing. And, yeah, ok, it\u2019s also definitely more than a little sentimental. \u201cSomeone To Say\u201d is the film\u2019s opening number and it\u2019s essentially a classic \u201cI want\u2026\u201d song, that moment in a musical when a main character belts out their heart\u2019s desire. Haley Bennett, who plays Roxanne in this musical adaptation of\u00a0Cyrano de Bergerac<\/i>, is on lead vocals here along with a whole ensemble, letting us know that she\u2019s longing for true love. I\u2019m not, as a general rule, all that into musicals<\/a>. But with original music and lyrics by The National,\u00a0Cyrano<\/i>, which arrives in theaters on December 31, isn\u2019t what I think of as typical Broadway fare. It\u2019s more emotional indie rock than show-stopping show tunes. The full soundtrack is out December 10, so until then I\u2019ll probably be listening to this one song on repeat.<\/p>\n
