The 2020 CMT Music Awards, a fan-voted awards show for country music videos and television performances, was broadcasted from Nashville on Wednesday, October 21. Originally scheduled for this past June, the ceremony had to be reimagined in the era of COVID-19. The show, hosted by Kane Brown, Ashley McBryde and Sarah Hyland, included a social distance red carpet, pre-taped performances at various safe locations and some at-home acceptance speeches.<\/p>\n

Carrie Underwood claimed the most awards of the evening, with Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, both for the second consecutive year. She continues her reign as the most awarded artist in CMT history, now with 22 career wins. Other big winners of the night included Gabby Barrett, Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay, Old Dominion, Blake Shelton and Chris Young.<\/p>\n

SARAH HYLAND<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Modern Family<\/em> star rocked not one, but three high-fashion looks throughout the night. Before hosting the show, she hit the red carpet in a Georges Hobeika Spring 2020 Couture look featuring an embellished pink short-sleeved crop top, a peekaboo lilac fitted skirt with an oversized black bow at the waist.\u00a0 She accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Christian Louboutin heels and had on hand a hot pink Christian Siriano “Vote” face mask. To open the show, she changed into a magenta Greta Constantine mini-dress featuring a standout train and ruffled single-sleeve. Hyland also wore a a bronze Galvan London gown with Jimmy Choo heels during the ceremony.<\/p>\n

KELSEA BALLERINI<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ‘Peter Pan” singer, who later performed onstage with Halsey, wore a silver sparkly minidress at the CMT Music Awards. The silver, mirrorball-inspired mini-dress by Tom Ford paired with Ren\u00e9 Caovilla “Cleo” Sandals in gold.<\/p>\n

KANE BROWN<\/strong><\/p>\n

The “Cool Again” singer and show host chose an all-black ensemble that included a turtleneck, a jacket with a gold embroidered detail on the lapels, black pants and boots. He also added a small gold chain.<\/p>\n

The Little Big Town member worked an icy blue Alexandre Vauthier long-sleeve ruched mini-dress styled with Christian Louboutin pointed-toe pumps and Fallon jewelry.<\/p>\n

On the red carpet, Miley’s younger sister reworked the classic Canadian tuxedo look wearing patchwork jeans and embellishments jacket styled with an orange halter top, matching denim cowboy hat,\u00a0 jeweled halter collar and all of the sequined embellishments on her denim jacket. Later in the night, she took the stage to perform “This Is Us’ alongside Jimmie Allen wearing a shocking nude bedazzled bodysuit along with thigh-high white boots, long white gloves and a large white cowboy hat, also decked out in rhinestones.<\/p>\n

The “Lady Like” singer flaunted her toned tummy in a rust-colored triangle crop top and matching trousers by Staud, accessorized with clear heels by Schutz and Ettika jewels. For her performance,\u00a0 she took to the stage in a sexy black leather look that included a cropped bustier and pants from Vex Latex and Love And Labels along with Flora de Maria sandals.<\/p>\n

The “Black Like Me” singer\u00a0 showed off her growing baby bump in a sparkling Cavanagh Baker Swarovski Crystal semi-sheer frock with a plunging neckline, styled with tan strappy sandals.<\/p>\n

The Breakthrough Video winner kept her look monochromatic sporting a black Norma Kamali jumpsuit with flared pants paired with a shimmering tuxedo jacket featuring statement shoulders by The Blonds.<\/p>\n
