Romantic floral prints and whimsical ruffles<\/a> have always been quintessential ERDEM and the reasons fans Madonna to Kate Middleton can’t get enough of the British label. Now, after curating a loyal community around his womenswear collections designer, Erdem Moralio\u011flu is expanding his wings into menswear, or as he puts it, genderless<\/a> designs for Spring 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I have always had this idea of the ERDEM man in my head, and it’s something I have always wanted to do\u2026.” Moralio\u011flu reveals to <\/span>GRAZIA<\/span><\/em>, “I’d see the men from the team in the studio wearing pieces from womenswear, so the menswear collection really evolved from the women’s collection \u2014 there is a real, beautiful sense of fluidity between the two, and I can see as many women in the men’s collection as men\u2026 The last year has given me the time and space I needed to really focus on it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to the ultra-feminine silhouettes of his womenswear collections, Moralio\u011flu takes a sleek and minimal approach to the menswear assortment. “The boundaries between womenswear and menswear are evermore fluid and exciting” he adds. The collection has a wide range rooted in English inspiration: boiler suits, mohair jumpers, striped cardigans, velvety corduroys and chinos in faded olive and powdery blues, and collarless button-down shirts. Naturally, Moralio\u011flu incorporated florals that have become synonymous with the brand by adding the print on cotton and jacquard knitted tank tops.<\/span><\/p>\n
