Following a family dispute which led to Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik splitting<\/a> last week (although we’re told it was imminent anyway<\/a>), a source for\u00a0E! News<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>has revealed that the pair are now discussing a custody agreement for their 13-month-old daughter, Khai.<\/p>\n

“It’s a tense situation,” a source close to the Hadid family told the outlet. “Gigi and Zayn are broken up, but intend to co-parent Khai in a peaceful and healthy environment.<\/p>\n

They are working out custody details. They are in contact over Khai and making decisions for her.” Another insider said the conversations reportedly involved meeting with lawyers.<\/p>\n

“Gigi and Zayn have both met with lawyers separately. They both want to make sure they can sort out the custody situation with Khai and both feel entitled to custody of her,” the source said. “She needs space. They have been in communication and have been working on how they will continue to co-parent, but it’s very tense right now. They do both want what’s best for Khai and are trying to be civil.”<\/p>\n

The source who is close to Hadid added the family is “trying to stay out of her way.” Overnight Bella Hadid was photographed leaving her sister’s New York City apartment.<\/p>\n
