As Lady Gaga<\/a> prepares to appear in Scott Ridley’s highly-anticipated biopic House of Gucci<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>this month, the pop star and actress has addressed criticism from the original Gucci family. In a march interview with Italian wire service, ANSA, <\/em>Patrizia Gucci (maiden name, Reggiani) expressed how “truly disappointed”<\/a> she was with the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am rather annoyed at the fact that Lady Gaga is playing me in the new Ridley Scott film without having had the consideration and sensibility to come and meet me,\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview<\/a>, Gaga pushed back on Reggiani’s comments and revealed that her choice to not approach the woman came down to artistic practice.<\/p>\n

“I only felt that I could truly do this story justice if I approached it with the eye of a curious woman who was interested in possessing a journalistic spirit so that I could read between the lines of what was happening in the film’s scenes,” Gaga said. “Meaning that nobody was going to tell me who Patrizia Gucci was. Not even Patrizia Gucci.”<\/p>\n

Reggiani is the ex-wife to the notorious Maurizio Gucci.<\/p>\n
