Would you let your significant other give you a tattoo that says the “darkest fairytale” across your hip? Well, that seems to be the self-described case for Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s relationship. The couple has never been too shy about their romance<\/a> before, so why start now? In a\u00a0new interview<\/a>, the two mull over the depth of their connection.<\/p>\n

Now, their relationship has been notoriously intense,\u00a0Fox has been quoted<\/a> saying “Loving him is like being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire, the intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude.\u201d<\/p>\n

But new details reveal that when Fox and Kelly first met, they don’t even remember seeing each other’s face during a GQ party in Los Angeles a few years before they “officially” met on the set of Midnight In The Switchgrass\u00a0<\/em>in 2020.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t remember your face… And I definitely would have remembered his face,” Fox said in the interview. “I just remember this tall, blond, ghostly creature and I looked up and I was like, ‘You smell like weed.'” To which Kelly responded “I am weed.”<\/p>\n

Fox then goes on to make the assumption that the two weren’t ready to meet yet, at least in a spiritual sense, comparing Kelly to the character of No Face in Spirited Away<\/em>. He in turn revealed that she gives him new inspiration to write music, encouraging each other’s creative endeavors as they progress in their relationship.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s almost like she reconnected a wire in my brain. Creativity won\u2019t stop coming out,” Kelly said, stating that he wrote the first half of his album before he met Fox, and proceeded to finish it after the two had officially connected. “\u2018I couldn\u2019t express myself the right way to [Fox], so I brought her a song. It says everything. It\u2019s the simplest guitar line with the purest form of how one could feel about another person and representing how they love each other.”<\/p>\n

The love Kelly has for Fox is something he never experienced coming from a broken home. And while it may be tempting to “fix” someone, the two say they’re not in this to fix one another, but to work through their individual darkness together.<\/p>\n

“This is a very intense relationship,\u2019 Fox declared. “Our souls chose this to absolutely have to face our shadow selves; to face things about ourselves we didn\u2019t want to have to know, that we tried to push away.” In response, Kelly continued, “It should be light, but also we go to hell with each other, it\u2019s ecstasy and agony for sure… I don\u2019t want people to think anything\u2019s perfect with us. I didn\u2019t say it was the darkest fairy tale for no reason.
