When Christian Cowan put headscarves on models for his Spring\/Summer 2022 show, we doubt he knew he would be paving the way for the revival of the cult fashion accessory. Since Cowan’s collection debuted during New York Fashion Week, the accessory trend<\/a> has popped up in the weeks following in London, Milan, and Paris.<\/p>\n

Moschino and DUNCAN followed suit in New York, opting for matching monochromatic headscarves to match the vibrant hues presented down the runway. Meanwhile, over in London, KNWLS’ grunge worthy<\/a> collection accessorized the brand’s perfectly done corsetry and bodycon silhouettes with pattern printed headscarves. Some looks were topped off with cowboy hats, giving a new meaning to what it means to be a horse girl.<\/p>\n

The Milan shows took the cake for putting the trend back at the top of our minds. Perhaps inspired by Italian actress Sophia Loren’s Riveria vacation style? This season, Versace undoubtedly made a statement with headscarves, including Gigi Hadid in an oh-so sexy latex dress with turquoise florals and Precious Lee in a silk Versace gilded head to toe look. Then at Fendace<\/a> \u2013 the fashion flip between Silvia Venturini Fendi, Fendi womenswear artistic director Kim Jones, and Donatella Versace, we get a glimpse of Emily Ratajkowski in a logomania silk headscarf.<\/p>\n

Salvatore Ferragamo, and Giorgio Armani also made a case during Milan. Silky scarves boast colorful waved prints against crisp white and navy garments to align with Armani’s maritime theme. Salvatore Ferragamo kept the looks minimal with black scarves wrapped around and dropped to side over models’ shoulders.<\/p>\n

In Paris, headscarves made all the sense at co-founders S\u00e9bastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant’s Coperni show. Psychedelic prints, a tribute to nature, and oh, the hemp garden that served as the venue (yes, you heard that right), felt all very hippie-eque, but futuristic chic.
