Cardi B<\/a> could be considered the ultimate maximalist, but her most recent ensemble might just be her most audacious yet. Arriving in the City of Lights for Paris Fashion Week, the rapper stepped out in a ruby red sequin Thierry Mugler gown for the designer’s Thierry Mugler: Couturissime\u00a0<\/em>exhibition.<\/p>\n

The gown featured ruby jewels and plumes of red feathers, which cocooned the WAP\u00a0<\/em>performer from the waist upwards. It’s a look for the books to be certain, but our favorite detail is undoubtedly Cardi B’s statement brows<\/a>. The rapper’s brows were completely blocked out, with the hair plastered down and overlaid with scarlet gem stones, glued from the front of the brow all the way to the tail.<\/p>\n

The bejewelled brow might make a statement, but Cardi B also makes it look surprisingly wearable. The key to keeping such loud arches in context is opting for equally glamorous makeup, so the star’s makeup artist Erika La’ Pearl rounded out the look with a neutral base, winged liner, a shimmering bronze smokey eye and a glossy nude lip. Old Hollywood finger waves in the rapper’s hair and fluttery lashes also anchored the dazzling aesthetic.<\/p>\n

Also on display was the rapper’s latest piercing, an eyebrow ring. The piercing is somewhat polarising, having reached peak popularity in the late 90s and early 00s and being most commonly worn alongside the divisive pin-thin brows of the era.<\/p>\n

Noughties-inspired piercings<\/a>, including belly button rings and lip rings, have been making something of a comeback in recent seasons, so it makes sense that the eyebrow ring would come next.<\/p>\n
