It\u2019s easy to forget what pop culture life was like before Kim Kardashian. But, for the 30-something-plus age bracket reading along, you will remember that Catherine Zeta-Jones was it. Back in the 90s, the little girl called Mariette from 1991\u2019s British TV series The Darling Buds Of May<\/em> was well on her way to superstardom (and that tight, tight black catsuit bending and sliding underneath the security laser beams in 1999\u2019s Entrapment<\/em>, opposite Sean Connery\u2019s Mac).<\/p>\n

Today, Zeta-Jones \u2013 now 51 \u2013 and her actor husband Michael Douglas \u2013 now 76 \u2013 walked the red carpet at the 73rd<\/sup> Annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. The actress \u2013who is in pre-production for the TV series Wednesday<\/em> where she will play Morticia Addams \u2013 wore a floor-length, strapless, burgundy custom-made gown with a thigh-high split from New York designer Cristina Ottaviano. The young designer, who interned under Oscar de la Renta and Marc Jacobs studied at Central Saint Martins in London, and has dressed the likes of Laverne Cox and Allison Janney in the past.<\/p>\n

Zeta-Jones paired the look with diamonds from Lorraine Schwartz and kept her very dark hair long, with a middle part and a deep sangria-hued lip that could rival Angelica Houston\u2019s 1991 Morticia.<\/p>\n

Douglas, dressed in Italian menswear label Canali, is nominated in the lead actor in a comedy category for the third year in a row with his Netflix show\u00a0The Kominsky Method<\/em>. He is also nominated as the executive producer of the show in the comedy series category.<\/p>\n

The star couple now reside in a US$4.5 million mansion in Westchester County in New York. They have two children; a son Dylan, 21, and daughter Carys, 18. Douglas also has son Cameron, 42, with his ex-wife Diandra Luker.<\/p>\n
