This year, there were many couples who used the Met Gala red carpet to make their romance officially official\u2014the Hollywood version of soft launching your boyfriend on Instagram. Taika Waititi and Rita Ora walked together, so too did a fashionably late A$AP Rocky and Rihanna<\/a>. But others opted out, including Kendall Jenner, who attended with her BFF Gigi Hadid<\/a>, rather than BF Devin Booker, and Kaia Gerber, who attended the event sans Jacob Elordi. <\/span><\/p>\n

But there\u2019s no trouble in paradise here. Following the Met Gala, the pair reunited to hit the afterparties together, with Gerber changing out of her showstopping gown and swapping it for a party-appropriate sexy, see-through mini dress.<\/span><\/p>\n

But first, the Met. For her first-ever time attending the biggest night in fashion, Gerber wore a gown inspired by Bianca Jagger\u2019s 1981 Met Gala look, which was created by legendary New York designer Halston. Gerber\u2019s version was made by Oscar de la Renta and came in the form of a strapless black gown featuring floral detailing around the neckline. Gerber completed the ode to Jagger by wearing her hair in waves, similar to the actress’ signature look.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reuniting with her actor beau after the Met, Gerber switched into a black lace mini-dress before heading out to Justin Bieber’s afterparty, where her friends Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin were dancing the night away. Gerber straightened her hair for the look and wore a pair of strappy heels, looking every bit like her supermodel mother with her uber long legs. You can see the photos here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Matching his model girlfriend, Elordi, who posted a photo of Gerber’s Met Gala look to his stories alongside a crown and love heart, wore a white tank top, blue jeans and brown loafers with a black shirt open over the top.<\/p>\n
