New York Fashion Week<\/a> made its mighty return yesterday evening, and to kick it off, fashion brand Collina Strada<\/a> paired with skincare brand TULA<\/a> on a rooftop in Brooklyn that also happens to be an operating farm in celebration of a lively, bright show dedicated to confidence, community, and inclusivity. As the exclusive skincare sponsor for the show, TULA debuted their first-ever lip product,<\/a> Lip SOS Lip Treatment Balm, and let me tell you: it’s awesome.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the rare “universal” color product, this formula is instantly hydrating while also being a buildable sheer tint and gloss. And because it’s TULA, you can trust that it’s a balm designed with the skin in mind first. “In addition to TULA\u2019s newly launched S6Pro Complex\u2122 which features a proprietary blend of prebiotics & probiotic extracts to help improve skin smoothness, the Lip SOS Lip Treatment Balm\u2019s ingredient formulation includes skincare powerhouse actives like peptides and hyaluronic acid combine to plump, smooth, nourish, and hydrate lips,” the brand explained in a statement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Allie Smith<\/a>, the show’s makeup artist, explained that TULA was perfect for Collina Strada, because creator Hillary Taymour is all about fresh and natural looking skin \u2014 plus to go along with the show’s chaotic fairy garden theme (in the best, most emotional way possible), they really wanted the skin to look sunkissed, summery, and “effortlessly perfect.”<\/p>\n

“It’s been amazing partnering with TULA getting all of this delicious skincare with really amazing ingredients, and everyone looking fresh and gorgeous and not too… done,” Smith explained to me backstage. To prep for makeup, she used the brand’s Rose Glow & Get It Eye Balm,<\/a>\u00a0Filter Primer,<\/a>\u00a0and #NoMakeup Cleansing Oil<\/a> for last-minute touch-ups. What resulted was skin that was stunning in the magic hour sunset.<\/p>\n

Smith used the Lip SOS Treatment Balm as a “lip contour” on the models, adding the darkest shade in just the corners of the mouth in order to make the lips look juicy and defined. She’s particularly a fan of the lemonade shade, using it as a hydrator and functional balm while models prepared and did their walkthrough. Available in three shades, each Lip SOS Treatment Balm is formulated with a unique blend of fruit oils and extracts like pomegranate and watermelon to nourish and soften lips immediately and over time. It was just the cherry on top (fruit pun not intended) of a gorgeous launch to the season, and what a night it was for us all.<\/p>\n
