It looks like a new artistic director is taking the helm of the luxury Italian brand, Emilio Pucci. On September 1, the LVMH backed label has announced that Camille Miceli will be taking on the new role this week. Miceli joins the Pucci brand following her most recent role as accessories creative director at Louis Vuitton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The seasoned fashion creative has worked with major league players in the industry, including Karl Lagerfeld, Azzedine Ala\u00efa<\/a>, Marc Jacobs, and Nicholas Ghesqui\u00e8re. AT the young age of 15 she Miceli started her fashion career interning at Chanel and Ala\u00efa. She continued at Chanel as a Publicist until joining Louis Vuitton in 1997, just at the beginning of the Marc Jacobs era.<\/p>\n

After being encouraged by Jacobs, Miceli’s got her foot in on the design side by creating costume jewelry collections. She quickly grew into a new role as the fashion jewelry creative director and fine jewelry consultant, where she worked on Jacob’s debut collection. Some of her other most early notable works for the French Maison include the iconic Pharrell Williams x Louis Vuitton high jewelry collection in 2008.<\/p>\n

From her LV design origins, Miceli went on to Dior, where she worked with John Galliano and then with Belgian designer Raf Simons in 2012 to expand their growing jewelry department. She brought dainty pearls<\/a> to the brand, which are now a signature with styles like the Tribal earring still beloved today by celebrities and it-girls. She ultimately returned to Louis Vuitton in 2014 o oversee accessories from fashion jewelry to leather goods.<\/p>\n

“There’s a lot of joy inside this brand, and I’m someone who quite enjoys life.” says the artistic director in an interview with WWD<\/em><\/a>. She continued to nod in the interview that she “vividly remembers her grandmother wearing Pucci and purchasing some vintage Pucci dresses and a silk top when she was a teenager.” This seems fitting because Pucci revealed they will revert to their resort-focused collections earlier this year.<\/p>\n

On September 26, the Pucci team will present a “transitional collection” representing the new (revived?) era of Emilio Pucci during Milan Fashion Week.
