After news broke on Friday that Kim Kardashian appeared at the third\u00a0DONDA<\/em> event wearing a Balenciaga wedding dress<\/a>, fans have been questioning whether or not that was a symbolic gesture or a hint that the two are trying to work things out. While a source claimed that it was something Kardashian was “happy to do for him,” could it also be that West’s pining lyrics about her convinced her to try again with the rapper?<\/p>\n

As reported by TMZ<\/a>, sources close to Kim and Kanye say that the ex-couple are “working on rebuilding the foundation of their relationship.” Now, if you’ve been watching the Kim and Kanye split like we have, their seems to be something of a power struggle between the two. While Kardashian has been out and about doing her own thing, like re-branding KKW Cosmetics and launching new SKIMS lines<\/a>, West on the other hand seemed to have paid the divorce more mind. We saw during various DONDA\u00a0<\/em>performances that West seemingly begged for Kardashian back.<\/p>\n

Now that the album is fully out, we can get more of an idea on just how many lyrics are about Kardashian and the couple’s divorce. There’s one in particular from the song “Hurricane” that calls out Kim by name, with West saying “Fiendin’ for some true love, as Kim, ‘What did you love?'” But while most of the longing lyrics appear to be about Kardashian, there’s one that possibly alludes to my West’s brief, not-so serious fling with model Irina Shayk from this summer.<\/p>\n

In the same song, “Hurricane,” Wests raps “Here I go, actin’ too rich, here I go, with a new chick,” but in another song, “New Again,” West said “Cause you know you’d never live up to my ex, though.” While this may seem like dig at Shayk, reports claim that Shayk was the one who pulled away from him. A source said<\/a>\u00a0 previously that “Kanye and Irina are over, but they never really started, there\u2019s nothing going on there, [Shayk] realized they aren\u2019t great romantic partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

While nothing is confirmed that Kardashian and West are officially trying to work things out, Kardashian has made it clear in the past that she just wants to do what’s best for her family. Kim including their children in the\u00a0DONDA\u00a0<\/em>events could be a sign that the two are trying to at least re-kindle their family dynamic, but that doesn’t mean the two are trying to necessarily work things out. Kardashian has even made it public that she’s not taking the “West” portion out of her last name<\/a>. But who knows, in 2021 anything is possible.
