While today the Italian artist is best known for his collectable ceramic plates, luxury candles and diffusers, the late creative&#8217;s work has been honored in a spectacular collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/louis-vuitton-novel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louis Vuitton<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As the French fashion house celebrates their founder&#8217;s 200th birthday this month, Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re&#8217;s Fall\/Winter 2021 collection has received the Fornasetti treatment with Barnaba Fornasetti&#8217;s distinct visual universe splayed across LV archival pieces (plucked from the house&#8217;s 13,000-piece archive in Milan).<\/p>\n<p>These garments and accessories use a rich combination of colors, textures and traditional, cutting-edge techniques including jacquard, embroidery and laser printing, intertwining Fornasetti\u2019s exquisitely illustrated world with Ghesqui\u00e8re\u2019s strikingly contemporary design.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_199128\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-199128\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-199128\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/LV_x_FORNASETTI_-3.jpg\" alt=\"Louis Vuitton x Fornasetti\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1297\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-199128\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy of Louis Vuitton<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_199127\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-199127\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-199127\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/LV_x_FORNASETTI_-5.jpg\" alt=\"Louis Vuitton x Fornasetti\" width=\"1024\" height=\"645\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-199127\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy of Louis Vuitton<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Highlights include lush velvet dresses, shiny printed jersey tops upon which Fornasetti drawings of ancient statues are overlaid on high-tech thermal-camera imagery, as well as more casual fleece hooded jackets and tailoring pieces. Oversized outerwear pieces feature Fornasetti prints, both in a stamp inspired colored version and, in a gold, coated version.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_199129\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-199129\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-199129\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/LV_x_FORNASETTI_-1.jpg\" alt=\"Louis Vuitton x Fornasetti\" width=\"1024\" height=\"813\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-199129\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy of Louis Vuitton<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This Louis Vuitton x Fornasetti capsule collection also features a broader selection of Louis Vuitton products that draw on Fornasetti motifs &#8211; such as buildings, locks, keys and portraits. This includes a stunning iteration of the iconic Cannes bucket bag in transformed leather, embellished with a Fornasetti black-and-white architectural drawing and reminiscent of the Renaissance-era Baptistery in Florence.
