This summer fling surely needs to be added to ‘unexpected celebrity couples’<\/a>. After just five months, actress Phoebe Dynevor and comedian Pete Davidson have reportedly split. After last being seen at Wimbledon together<\/a>, a source for The Sun<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>has said long distance put a strain on the relationship.<\/p>\n

“Pete and Phoebe’s romance was a real whirlwind and from the start they were both totally committed,” the insider told the publication. “It was pretty telling when Phoebe headed to Croatia with her mates this week rather than going to see Pete in America. It was wild while it lasted… But the distance has put a strain on them. They will remain close but unless something drastic changes their relationship won’t recover.”<\/p>\n

Dynevor is in the UK filming the second season of\u00a0Bridgerton.\u00a0<\/em>Davidson continues his work for\u00a0Saturday Night Live\u00a0<\/em>in New York City.<\/p>\n

In some ways the split comes as a surprise. Just last month it was revealed things were getting very serious between the two<\/a> with Davidson allegedly speaking about marriage (although you have to take a grain of salt with some of these reports) after meeting the actress’ parents.<\/p>\n

Rumours of the relationship were first sparked in February when Dynevor was said to be \u201cspending time\u201d with Davidson in New York. It wasn’t until April that an insider for\u00a0Page Six\u00a0<\/em>confirmed the news<\/a> but noted it “wasn’t that serious”. Later, the SNL star spoke of the new love interest with The Breakfast Club.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI am just very, very honest,\u201d Davidson said of his own dating advice<\/a>. \u201cI think what a lot of people do is they try to put on\u2014not even their best self\u2014but almost a version of themself that they would like to be. And eventually, that will unravel, you know? So, I just, off the top, I\u2019m like, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m nuts. Here\u2019s all my issues. Here\u2019s what I do. Here\u2019s the therapists. This is what happens.\u2019 And that can either be a lot for someone\u2026or they could be like, \u2018Cool, that was really refreshingly honest.\u2019 Or, sometimes it can be a little intense and weird and people can\u2019t handle that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

If Instagram is anything to judge by, Dynevor does not have a care in the world as she vacations through Europe (um, jealous).<\/p>\n
