It can’t be easy to tell nearly one million followers that you’ve ended a marriage of almost eight years. But somehow (and in true Kate Bosworth<\/a> style) the 38-year-old actress has so gracefully revealed she and husband Michael Polish have split. The\u00a0Blue Crush\u00a0<\/em>star posted to Instagram overnight explaining that while the couple have the utmost love and respect for one another, they needed to part ways.<\/p>\n

In a loved-up photo of the couple, Bosworth described how their love story began when they met on the set of\u00a0Big Sur\u00a0<\/em>in 2011. A film Bosworth starred in and the 50-year-old filmmaker directed.<\/p>\n

“‘Do you want to split a burger?’ Yes, Bosworth began. “‘How \u2018bout a shot of whiskey?’ Hell yes.”<\/p>\n
