But upon the release of Gary Janetti&#8217;s new cartoon comedy this week, <em>The Prince<\/em>, we think that could change.<\/p>\n<p>Reminiscent to the series\u00a0<em>Our Cartoon President\u00a0<\/em>(a satirical look at Donald Trump) the newly-released comedy follows Prince William and Kate Middleton&#8217;s son, Prince George. Prince Harry makes a cameo within the trailer, voiced by none other than Bloom himself.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Prince | Official Trailer | HBO Max\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jGxOken3-lc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis might be the smallest palace I\u2019ve ever been in,\u201d says Harry&#8217;s character upon moving to the US. Markle interjects (voiced by Condola Rashad) telling him it&#8217;s called an &#8216;apartment&#8217;. \u201cYes, an apartment palace, I know that. Lots of tiny palaces inside one big palace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I won&#8217;t lie. It <em>is\u00a0<\/em>funny. While we can imagine the Duke of Sussex giggling along at his own portrayal, it begs the question: will he be that impressed?<\/p>\n<p>While\u00a0<em>The Prince\u00a0<\/em>is now available on HBO Max, Australian viewers will have to wait longer. Overnight the series was heavily criticized and as first reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/tv\/2021\/07\/29\/prince-george-hbo-max-satirical-cartoon-the-prince-criticized\/5414473001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">USA Today<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>Twitter was awash with users condemning the creators for exploiting children.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The royal tea is piping hot. \u2615\ufe0f <\/p>\n<p>Prince George spills all about life inside Buckingham Palace in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ThePrince?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">#ThePrince<\/a>, streaming tomorrow on HBO Max. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/sx9d1LXjP5\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/sx9d1LXjP5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; HBO Max (@hbomax) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hbomax\/status\/1420474140889395210?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">July 28, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is inappropriate. And disrespectful. The children are all innocent and should be off limits! This should be pulled and never viewed,&#8221; one user tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>According to an interview with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/general-news\/orlando-bloom-shedding-his-movie-star-image-demanding-roles-now-all-bets-are-1304804\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em> in 2020, Bloom admitted he was nervous taking on the role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis guy is so nice, and I think he\u2019s got a great sense of humor. I hope he maintains that through this because they\u2019re sort of on a pedestal.
