A few questions popped to mind when the idea of a<\/span> Sex and the City<\/span><\/i><\/a> reboot was floated last year. There was, of course, the issue of how the cast would keep up in an increasingly woke, digital world where pretty much everything from the way they obsess over men to their casual homophobic comments wouldn\u2019t fly today. <\/span>There was a debatably more pressing\u2014and still unanswered\u2014question about what they’ll say has happened to Samantha Jones. And then there <\/span>was the conversation about the climate. <\/span>An early aughts Carrie Bradshaw wouldn\u2019t think twice about shopping excessively, but would the 2021 version shop with sustainability in mind?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since <\/span>And just like that\u2026<\/span><\/i> began filming in New York City last week, we\u2019ve been inundated with paparazzi and fan photos of the cast, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon, on set, including previews of their highly-anticipated style. <\/span>In amongst the colorful dresses and crazy hats (love you, SJP), those who look closely have been noticing items from Carrie Bradshaw\u2019s original wardrobe pop up. There was the studded belt<\/a> she wore in the original <\/span>Sex and the City<\/span><\/i> movie, and, albeit a new colorway, Carrie still loves a \u200b\u200bFendi Baguette.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the most recent outfit was the most Carrie we\u2019ve seen yet, dubbed \u201c quintessentially Carrie (with a heavy dollop of Diane Keaton),\u201d by the show\u2019s STAN fashion account @everyoutfitonsatc. It proves definitively that yes, in 2021 Carrie cares about the climate: two of her statement accessories are recycled.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As @everyoutfit points out, Carrie\u2019s blue flower brooch is originally from season three of the show (episode two, to be exact), and the Manolo Blahnik are, of course, from her courthouse wedding to Mr. Big in the movie.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to respect Carrie\u2019s sustainable approach to fashion, although we seriously doubt that satin pumps could withstand 10+ years on the cruel streets of Manhattan,\u201d the account wrote. <\/span><\/p>\n

Also of note and another question to add to the list: “Is Anthony Marentino is a zaddy now?!\u201d \u2063I mean, all signs point to yes:<\/span><\/p>\n
