\u201cI myself have wondered what the hell happened to this guy,\u201d Dexter<\/em> star Michael C. Hall told<\/a> the virtual audience for the show\u2019s Comic-Con@Home panel this weekend. And with the release of the trailer for Showtime\u2019s new limited series revival, Dexter: New Blood<\/em>, fans are finally getting some idea of how serial killer Dexter Morgan (Hall) has been spending the last few years: fighting temptation to give in to his bloodlust and trying to hide from his past.<\/p>\n

What he\u2019s not doing, though, is being a lumberjack. When Dexter <\/em>wrapped up after eight seasons in 2013, the series finale caused controversy among fans and critics. A lot of people took issue<\/a> with the fact that Hall\u2019s character managed to fake his own death and was last seen working at an Oregon logging camp. According to showrunner Clyde Phillips, the new series picks up eight years later, with Dexter selling hunting gear in snowy upstate New York\u2014and gazing longingly at every sharp object around him.<\/p>\n
