On Monday, Justin Laboy, the host of <em>Respectfully Justin<\/em> on REVOLT, confirmed via Twitter that West played his new album for him and NBA all-star Kevin Durant. Suggesting its imminent premiere, he wrote, &#8220;Kanye West album is really done. When it drops this week, we probably not going to listen to anything else for a while. Let me go enjoy all the current artist I\u2019m listening to until then. As sermonic interjections of Christian pulpits emphatically underscored the track, West addresses the country&#8217;s moral reckoning and pleads for the salvation of his community as he recites<em> &#8220;Holy spirit come down, Wash us in the blood.&#8221;<\/em> The track resounds the religious emphasis of Ye&#8217;s Christian-rap era, <em>Jesus Is King<\/em>, while simultaneously drifting away from his yearning for internal refuge and repentance.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, fingers are crossed for the final release of West&#8217;s long-awaited <em>Donda<\/em> , which social media rumors will feature that Westside Gunn, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Pusha T and Baby Keem.
