Amrit is a multifaceted creative entrepreneur. As a host, DJ and strategic consultant, her work is deeply inspired by empathy and connection. From executing and overseeing global talent strategic direction to international sound design, her decade plus experience and distinctly unique perspective within culture, has established her as someone consumers, brands, and creatives turn to as an authority of what\u2019s next. In addition to her non profit projects in the impact and sustainability space, her most recent projects, Unhinged on NTWRK and Ask Amrit, has allowed her to create a safe forum for dialogue on love, sex, communication and everything in between.<\/p>\n

Amrit’s love and commitment to music has seen her perform and sell out tours throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia. From opening for the likes of Lauryn Hill and Dua Lipa to performing DJ sets for Dior, Vogue, Coachella, Marc Jacobs, Nike, Swarovski, HBO, Veuve Clicquot, Cannes Film Festival, The Guggenheim Museum, The Museum of Modern Art + more. Amrit currently resides between New York and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

What role does music play in your life?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Music is the most pleasurable form of connection for me.<\/p>\n

What is your first music memory?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don’t have a specific one but I have to give my mum credit for putting me on to many of the sounds I love today: Soul, Funk, Motown, Disco, Gospel… We lived in a house of Cher, Diana Ross, Carole King, Carly Simon, Abba (all the greats)<\/p>\n

What is your absolute favorite song?<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is the inspiration behind the playlist you created? Why did you choose these songs?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Summer is coming, that means more sun… and more FUN. I think after the year we’ve had, it’s time for us ready to fall in love again with all the things we took for granted. This playlist is an ode to that.<\/p>\n
