Conversations with Friends,<\/span><\/i> the 12-part series based on Sally Rooney’s 2017 debut novel, is officially in production in Northern Ireland. After photos of the series\u2019 stars, Joe Alwyn and Alison Oliver, leaked across the weekend, the official Instagram account has confirmed shooting for the highly-anticipated adaption has begun.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The series, of course, follows the worldwide success of the Rooney-adapted miniseries <\/span>Normal People<\/a>, <\/span><\/i>which premiered to critical acclaim\u2014and socially distanced fan fervor\u2014in April 2020, catapulting its stars, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal (and Paul Mescal\u2019s chain<\/a>) to fame in the process, before going on to garner several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.<\/span><\/p>\n
