Less than a week after Britney Spears <\/span>delivered her shocking testimony<\/span><\/a> about the conditions of the 13-year conservatorship<\/a> over her life and finances, Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has revealed the former backup dancer and Spears\u2019 ex-husband\u2019s thoughts on the matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Federline\u2019s main concern is his and Spears’ teenage sons, Sean, 15, and Jayden, 14, noted Kaplan in a statement to <\/span>People<\/a>.<\/span><\/i> “The best thing would be for their mum to be healthy and happy. And if either of those things aren’t true, it doesn’t provide for the best setting for custody to be exercised.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“[Kevin] certainly respects Britney and only hopes the best for her because when the best for her is achieved, it’s the best for their kids. The kids love their mother and he wants there to be a healthy and strong relationship.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflecting on Spears’ revelatory testimony, Kaplan feels that “Britney has not been served well by the conservatorship and it’s not consistent with what she wants,” he adds. “I think that she should be able to challenge that. And if it’s what’s best for her, Kevin supports it.”<\/span>

Federline\u2019s support comes just one day after Christina Aguilera released her own statement via Twitter. In the thread, the singer, who met Spears when they were children in the Mickey Mouse Club, wrote, \u201cThese past few days I\u2019ve been thinking about Britney and everything she is going through. It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
