\nThe first real<\/em> award show red carpet during the Coronavirus pandemic is currently kicking off in New York City with this year\u2019s MTV VMAs underway.<\/p>\n

In various outdoor spots around the city, celebrities are arriving in a new pandemic-friendly format which is seeing glamour from different locations instead of one traditional red carpet<\/a>, with some even shot ahead of time with pre-recorded segments.<\/p>\n

As always, VMAs<\/a> fashion is unapologetically bold, brash and brazen with searing block color the standout trend of the evening. Even the boys took to punchy pigment, with Machine Gun Kelly in a shocking pink pantsuit with knitted sleeveless vest and string of pearls (taking a leaf out of the book of Harry Styles perhaps?). Other highlights include Miley Cyrus’s<\/a> barely-there embellished sheath and opera gloves and Lady Gaga’s<\/a> Covid-approved bubble helmet.<\/p>\n
