Can you imagine an EP featuring Grownish\u00a0<\/em>actor and activist Yara Shahidi<\/a>, Chloe Bailey, one half of Chloe x Halle<\/a>, and rapper YBN Cordae<\/a>?\u00a0Well, Disney has made our wildest dreams come true with its upcoming album to commemorate Juneteenth<\/a> and delve into the Black experience<\/a> through the lens of Black Gen Z\u2019s premiere talent.<\/p>\n

Music for the Movement Volume III \u2013 Liberated<\/em> releases today, June 18, and is the third iteration in Disney\u2019s four-part series of EPs honoring Black lives and the enduring social justice movement, according to Associated Press<\/a><\/em> reports. Bailey will cover Nina Simone\u2019s \u201cFeeling Good\u201d while\u00a0<\/span>Shahidi\u2019s track will recite an ode to Black girlhood in a spoken word titled \u201cTo Be A Black Girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cordae partners with none other than poet and emcee Common for a record titled, \u201cWhat\u2019s Life.\u201d The 23-year-old is donating his album proceeds to fund scholarships for students from underrepresented communities attending HBCUs.<\/span> \u201cSo many people need the money more than I do. I feel as though when you\u2019re in such a blessed position, it\u2019s important to pay that forward to be a blessing to others. It\u2019s especially important to me to invest in our youth and the future,\u201d Cordae, who is the boyfriend of tennis superstar Naomi Osaka<\/a>, said in a statement. He continued, \u201cYoung people are the future of our society and the world, so we must do all we can to ensure they are properly positioned to succeed. If I can spark the brain of a few future world leaders and geniuses, I\u2019ll die a happy man.\u201d Disney Dreamers Academy and The Undefeated have agreed to match his donation.<\/p>\n

The first volume, titled <\/span>I Can\u2019t Breathe\/Music for the Movement<\/em>, released last October as reverential compilation of songs for the summer movement that rocked the globe. Doubling a as call to action for election season, the album featured songs by Rapsody, Bilal, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Alex Isley, Jensen McRae and Keedron Bryant.<\/p>\n

Black History Always \u2014 Music for the Movement Vol. 2<\/em> was released in February to commemorate Black History Month and included features from Tinashe, Freddie Gibbs, Tobe Nwigwe, and Brent Faiyaz. The series is a collaboration<\/span>\u00a0between Disney Music Group and ESPN\u2019s platform for sports and culture, \u00a0The
