Katie Holmes became fashion\u2019s new favorite darling a few years ago, thanks to her matching bra and cardigan <\/span>moment, <\/span><\/i>and since then, the actress has barely put a loafer wrong. <\/span><\/p>\n

Holmes, who just wrapped on a film in Connecticut, has returned to New York, and brought her understated style right back to the city with her. <\/span><\/p>\n

For her most recent outing, Holmes wore a pair of relaxed fit blue jeans and a vintage Jimi Hendrix tee paired with socks and black Gucci loafers. Holmes wore her long brunette hair out and wet, letting it dry naturally, while wearing a brown leather saddlebag over one shoulder. <\/span><\/p>\n

The entire outfit was a win, from the beige socks and black shoes to the relaxed fit of both the tee and jeans and the simple gold chain around her neck and tortoiseshell sunglasses in hand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Like Z\u00f6e Kravitz and The Crowns<\/em> Emma Corrin\u2014two of the world’s current most stylish women\u2014Holmes has been living in loafers of late. Not only does she own the above pair in black, but she also has the exact same Gucci pair in white, as well as red pair of the backless style by the Italian fashion house. Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.<\/p>\n

Though for a few months Holmes’ main accessory was her new beau, Emilio Vitolo Jr., the pair called it quits<\/a> on their relationship in late April, after first making headlines in September 2020.<\/p>\n

At the time of their reported split last month, a source told People,<\/em> “It was amazing while it lasted, but they are at very different places in life.” They continued,\u00a0“Emilio has no hard feelings. His life is in N.Y.C.,” Holmes, meanwhile, “can’t wait to get back to work and to travel again.”<\/p>\n

As for Holmes?
