It’s been a long time since we heard directly from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen<\/a>. After stepping away from acting, the beloved twin sisters launched luxury cult label, The Row<\/a>, in 2006. Even then they remained elusive. In a rare interview with i-D Magazine<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>Mary-Kate explained they were raised to be “discreet”.<\/p>\n

According to Ashley, their hesitation to appear in mainstream media comes from not wanting to be too associated with their brand.<\/p>\n

“We didn’t want to be in front of it, we didn’t necessarily even want to let people know it was us,” Ashley told the publication. “It was really about the product, to the point where we were like: Who could we get to front this so that we don’t have to?”<\/p>\n
