\"\"It is an undisputed fact that Simone Biles<\/a> is the greatest of all time. We’ve rejoiced at her relentless ascension to legendary status \u2014 four Olympic<\/a> gold medals and seven consecutive all-around titles\u00a0\u2014 as she’s vaulted the unimaginable and lunged herself into the most technically challenging routines<\/a>. Now, fans of the phenom will get a glimpse of the tribulations<\/a> behind her triumphs in the Facebook Watch original docuseries, Simone vs Herself, <\/em>premiering June 15.<\/p>\n

The seven-episode series will explore the adversities that the 19-time World Champion has conquered while adjusting to the blinding spotlight of the international stage. From reacclimating herself for the 2021 Olympics, following the pandemic postponement, to shouldering the pressures to eclipse her massive success, the road to Biles’ extraordinaire is no small feat.\u00a0 \u201cMy gymnastics career has been filled with a lot of ups and downs despite what a lot of people may think, and, in a lot of ways, my career has felt like I\u2019ve been trying to prove myself to others,” the 24-year-old said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Biles is gearing up for the summer Olympics in late July where she’ll more than likely display her crowd-pleasing moves: her eponymous double-double balance beam dismount and the Yurchenko double pike vault which she historically debuted as the first woman to perform the challenging stunt at the U.S. Classic two weeks ago. And although the moves garner her applause, there’s a lot at stake when the entire globe is eagle-eyed to your stardom. Regarding her epic yet nerve-wracking return to the Olympic stage, she continued, “My mom has always encouraged me to be the \u2018best Simone I can be\u2019 and I now have a true appreciation for what that really means, which is one of the big reasons I wanted to come back for Tokyo I want to challenge myself to be the best Simone I can be for me and, no matter the outcome, share with my fans the process and approach I am taking along the way in the hope that it may help inspire others to be the best version of themselves too.\u201d<\/p>\n

The docuseries, which will air exclusively on Facebook Watch, is produced by Religion of Sports and directed by Gotham Chopra.
