SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: By day four of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week<\/a>, most of the guest’s energy levels were wavering. But no label could inject some excitement back into the runway quite like a consumer-fuelled Manning Cartell show. Despite the rain and the cold across Sydney on Thursday evening, hundreds of guests filed into Carriageworks for one of the buzziest nights on the fashion week calendar.<\/p>\n

Sisters Cheryl, Vanessa and Gabrielle Manning have sat at the helm of the brand since its inception in 2005 with the pieces worn and loved by the likes of Australian model Bambi and American musician Rita Ora. Best known for its edgy evening wear (mini dress anyone?) and ethically-made garments, Manning Cartell’s forthcoming collection was rooted in nature.<\/p>\n

The brand’s knack for mini party dresses, quality basics and crisp outerwear was renewed in a tonal color palette of beige, brown and gold. But the addition of magenta leather-look dresses, skirts, knee-high boots and chunky hardware kept the party girl at bay – at least until next season.<\/p>\n

Hair featured a mix of natural undone waves and straightened locks from ghd<\/a>, while the dewy skin was the work of Hunter Lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If the sprawling runway and colored strobe lights weren’t enough to awaken guests, the finale was led by none other than Australia’s beloved Delta Goodrem<\/a>. The artist weaved between models – almost Victoria’s Secret style – dressed in an electric pink number as she performed a special live rendition of “The Power”, pulled from her latest studio album, Bridge Over Troubled Dreams.\u00a0<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n
