Their on-again, off-again relationship on <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Friends<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> went on for almost a decade, right up until the show\u2019s end in 2004.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Because Jennifer Aniston was very publicly married to Brad Pitt for most of the show&#8217;s tenure\u2014he even made a cameo as a Rachel-hating former high school classmate at one point\u2014it turns out, Aniston and David Schwimmer had real-life chemistry, and a real-life crush on each other.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As revealed during the show\u2019s HBO Max reunion, during<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Friends\u2019 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">early seasons, the pair\u2019s chemistry was so apparent, it was noticed by their co-stars, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, the duo never acted upon their crushes, due to both timing and the fear of an implosion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_194211\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-194211\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignfull -width\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-194211 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GettyImages-1143150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1531\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-194211\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">DAVID SCHWIMMER AND JENNIFER ANISTON OF THE TV HIT SERIES &#8220;FRIENDS&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI had a major crush on Jen. At some point we were both crushing hard on each other,\u201d Schwimmer explained. \u201cBut it was like two ships passing. One of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aniston, who dated both <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Friends<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> guest star Tate Donovan and, casually one of the world\u2019s biggest hotties, Brad Pitt, expressed relief that they never became romantic. \u201cI remember saying one time to David, It\u2019s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is on national television. And sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop,\u201d she recalled. \u201cWe channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI thought back on the very first year or two,\u201d Schwimmer continued. \u201cWhen we had breaks from rehearsal, there were moments we would cuddle on the couch. I\u2019m thinking, How did not everyone know we weren\u2019t crushing on each other?
