May 27, 2021: <\/b>The highly anticipated Urban Decay x Prince<\/a> collection is finally out today, available on the brand\u2019s website and\u2014be warned\u2014it’s selling out fast. The limited-edition capsule collection, entitled \u201cLive Free in Color,\u201d is everything we know and love about Urban Decay<\/a>, with an added Prince twist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe collection was meticulously curated with The Prince Estate and features exclusive never-before-seen essentials inspired by his iconic style and unparalleled self-expression. The UD | PRINCE collection is kaleidoscopic yet singular, just like Prince,\u201d said the brand in a statement provided to\u00a0GRAZIA USA.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The collection boasts seven individual products that are also sold together in a vault. For those who love Urban Decay\u2019s Naked Palettes (Read: pretty much everyone) the brand has two new ten-pan palettes inspired by Prince’s biggest hits. The U Got the Look Eyeshadow Palette features shades like pearly cream, gold and bronze metallics and deep blue-purple and black glitter, while the Let’s Go Crazy Eyeshadow Palette features colors and shades in the best of pinks, blues and purples, all in matte, shimmer, and pearl finishes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Urban Decay celebrates Prince\u2019s multifaceted nature with the fluffy-yet-densely packed Multitasker Brush as well as its universal-shade liquid highlighter. Finally, the look is finished with UD | PRINCE All Nighter Waterproof Setting Powder, which promises to control oil and shine for up to 11 hours while also waterproofing and mattifying your look\u2014so you can have makeup that can withstand<\/a>, say, a <\/span>Super Bowl performance in the rain<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prince may be gone now, but his impact and legacy have never wavered in importance. He\u2019s an American cultural and musical icon, and he certainly would love to see how his\u00a0 influence has been translated into makeup. Holograms be damned\u2014this is a much better (and prettier) way to celebrate and commemorate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
