(I mean, actually, I\u2019m sure it wasn\u2019t random. I\u2019m sure Google Corp. or whatever knows exactly who I am and what I want.)<\/p>\n<p>The clip in question comes from the BBC\u2019s recent miniseries <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/is-the-pursuit-of-love-the-most-stylish-period-drama-of-2021\/\"><em>The Pursuit of Love<\/em><\/a>. Written and directed by Emily Mortimer and adapted from Nancy Mitford\u2019s 1945 novel, the three-part series centers on the love lives of Linda Radlett (<a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/lily-james-pamela-anderson-first-photos\/\">Lily James<\/a>) and her bff, cousin Fanny (Emily Beecham). In this particular scene, what appears to be a <em>very<\/em> dull party is \u201csaved from utter disillusionment,\u201d by the arrival of Andrew Scott\u2019s eccentric Lord Merlin. And good god, does he know how to make an entrance!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Andrew Scott&#039;s iconic dance in The Pursuit of Love - BBC\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QcIWprH2sVg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Lord Merlin, according to Fanny\u2019s narration, is \u201can artist, a musician and a patron of all the young\u201d whose garden plays host to productions of Dadaist plays and Harlem jazz poets. His pose of disdainful remove as his theatrically costumed crew dance around him to the anachronistic strains of T.Rex\u2019s \u201cDandy in the Underworld\u201d is quite possibly the sexiest thing I\u2019ve seen all week. Seriously, and we thought <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/phoebe-waller-bridge-auction-golden-globes-suit\/\"><em>Fleabag<\/em><\/a>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/05\/17\/arts\/television\/fleabag-andrew-scott-hot-priest.html\" target=\"_blank\">Hot Priest<\/a> was hot!<\/p>\n<p>As the world beings to <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/nyc-summer-open\/\">slowly open up<\/a>, <em>this<\/em> is the energy I want to bring to every cocktail party and club night! Also, having spent a small fortune on fancy <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/missoni-fall-2021\/\">loungewear<\/a> over the past year, I fully intend to repurpose a lot of silk pajamas as party attire, like so.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Pursuit of Love <\/em>aired earlier this month in the UK, and Scott\u2019s was clearly the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-9561199\/Pursuit-Love-viewers-brand-Andrew-Scott-Lord-Merlin-perfection.html\" target=\"_blank\">breakout performance<\/a>. Fans were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stylist.co.uk\/entertainment\/tv\/the-pursuit-of-love-reactions-andrew-scott\/518268\" target=\"_blank\">head-over-heels<\/a> for Lord Merlin and the T.Rex dance scene has already been dubbed \u201ciconic.\u201d And, really, where is the lie? American audiences will have to wait <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/pursuit-of-love-first-look-lily-james-dominic-west-andrew-scott\/\" target=\"_blank\">until July 30<\/a>, when the series premieres on Amazon\u2019s Prime Video, to get the full decadent, satin-clad experience.
