May 18, 2021:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Today, Burberry unveiled its new campaign for the British fashion house’s signature Olympia bag. Creative director Riccardo Tisci<\/a> tapped It-girls FKA twigs<\/a>, Kendall Jenner, and Shygirl to model the luxe accessory. Naturally, it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing all of our favorite celebrities and influencers sporting the Olympia, which made its debut at the label’s Fall-Winter 2020 fashion show.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Olympia<\/p>\n

Designed by Tisci, the Olympia bag takes inspiration from the distinctive architecture of Burberry’s Fall-Winter 2020 show, held at Kensington Olympia in London. It’s categorized by a sleek design, exactly resembling a sculptural crescent moon, available in the following colors: classic warm sand, black and burgundy to vibrant marigold yellow, pale blue, and juniper green.<\/p>\n

“When designing the Olympia, I was thinking about creating the perfect form of a handbag, something that could capture the essence of femininity. So, for the campaign, I wanted to celebrate three incredible women in my life who embody the power and beauty of feminine energy: FKA twigs, Kendall, and Shygirl,” Tisci says in a statement shared with\u00a0<\/span>GRAZIA<\/span><\/em>. “These women are amazingly talented and confident and have a natural fierceness and determination to carve their own paths, each freely expressing their originality through their creativity.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Olympia<\/p>\n

Tisci intentionally set the new Olympia handbag campaign on a minimalistic backdrop of white marble to focus entirely on the stars. It was brought to life by a talented team of creatives: renowned photographers and film directors Inez and Vinoodh, stylist Ib Kamara, makeup artist Kabuki Magic, and hairstylists Jimmy Paul and Lacy Redway.<\/p>\n

Jenner and Shygirl, both decorated veterans of the luxury brand, have made “muse” status by being notable faces for the brand in the past year. Just last summer, Jenner was the face of the new TB monogram campaign that she photographed at home via video chat due to <\/span>lockdown measures<\/span><\/a>. Shygirl opened Burberry’s fall 2021\u00a0<\/span>runway show<\/span><\/a>, entitled “Femininity,” last month with an original spoken-word piece accurately depicting the disruptive progressiveness of women empowerment.<\/span><\/p>\n
