Hulu series\u00a0Pam & Tommy\u00a0<\/em>has attracted plenty of gossip in recent weeks after a first look at Lily James’ incredible transformation<\/a> into Pamela Anderson. New paparazzi images flooded the internet this weekend when James stepped out<\/a> in the iconic Baywatch <\/em>red bathing suit. But not everyone is in quite the same hysterics. Longtime friend of Anderson, Courtney Love, has instead slammed the forthcoming project by claiming it has caused “complex trauma.”<\/p>\n

According to the singer, it was revealed the production asked permission from Love to use an image for the series. She refused. Taking to Facebook<\/a> the 56-year-old said, \u201cI find this so f**king outrageous.” She noted the sex tape of Tommy Lee and Anderson which was stolen and released in 1995.<\/p>\n

\u201cMyself, @pattyschemel [and] @xmadmx were making a record. And the lone women in many recording studios in [L.A.] Where all \/ ALL! The staff engineers \/ producers \/ owners \/ were watching the sex tape with huge [schadenfreude] . . Guffaws ,\u201d Love wrote. \u201cIt was disgusting . I banned anyone discussing it. . It destroyed my friend Pamelas life . Utterly .\u201d<\/p>\n

Love continued, “Last week I was asked to approve using a rolling stone cover of mine \/ shot by mark seliger in this piece of shit . That they had approved . I said \u201c fuck no . \u201c shocked . Gentleman don\u2019t approve this sort of thing . My heart goes out to Pammy \u2665\ufe0f\u2665\ufe0ffurther causing her complex trauma . And shame on lily James whoever the fuck she is . #vile.”<\/p>\n

The limited series will also star Sebastian Stan, Seth Rogen, Pepi Sonuga and Taylor Schilling. It is slated to follow the story of Anderson and Lee’s whirlwind relationship which begun with the couple marrying after only knowing each other for 96 hours in 1995. A release date is not yet known.<\/p>\n
