If Jennifer Lopez\u2019s star is Hustlers<\/em>\u2019 best chance at award season glory, so be it. While most of the buzz surrounding the film at the Toronto International Film Festival in September centered upon the 50-year-old\u2019s transfixing performance as a hardened stripper named Ramona, few critics actually believe Lopez will walk away with a Golden statue today. It also seemed so pie-in-the-sky that a film like this would be recognized by the Hollywood Foreign Press. Alas, the diamante thong has spoken.<\/p>\n

The performer is up for the Best Supporting Actress In A Motion Picture award in Lorene Scafaria\u2019s Hustlers<\/em>; a real-life tale about a bunch of New York City strippers navigating the late-aughts\u2019 financial crisis by drugging and robbing Wall Street suits. Lopez will go head-to-head with Australia\u2019s Margot Robbie (Bombshell<\/em>), Kathy Bates (Richard Jewell<\/em>), Annette Bening (The Report<\/em>) and Laura Dern (Marriage Story<\/em>). If she wins, it will mark a huge milestone in her already megawatt career.<\/p>\n
