There is much to be said about trailblazing actress, Scarlett Johansson. In recent years, the 35-year-old has epitomized her stance in Hollywood as an action-fueled heroine in films such as Lucy, Ghost in the Shell <\/em>and, most notably, as Black Widow within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As of mid-2019, Johansson is the third highest-grossing actor of all time, shortly following the likes of Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson and before she reprises her continuing role in the stand-alone film, Black Widow, <\/em>this year, the award-winning actress will be recognized for her latest film, Marriage Story. <\/em><\/p>\n

Unlike her usual high-production, fan-crazed appearances, Johansson reveals an empathetic performance as she portrays a wife and mother who experiences a divorce from her husband. As if it were taken from the books a modern-day love story (in America, 50 percent of marriages end in divorce), the Netflix film has been praised as it tells the compassionate story of break-up, while it brings a family together.<\/p>\n

Arriving at the annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills today, the actress, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama, stepped – or more fittingly, floated – onto the red carpet draped in red. Donning a billowing gown – finished with a plunging neckline and giant bow – the actress appeared to be smitten with fianc\u00e9, Colin Jost, in hand. If anything, she is dressed to win.<\/p>\n

For Johansson,\u00a0Marriage Story<\/em> takes from several IRL experiences, as she drew from her divorces from Ryan Reynolds and Romain Dauriac.<\/p>\n

“The idea of building a family, making a family, and having that work, I like that idea,” she told Vanity Fair <\/em>n 2019. “I think that would be wonderful. I\u2019ve always wanted that. I wanted that also in my marriage to my daughter\u2019s father as well. It just wasn\u2019t the right person. But I like that idea\u2026I mean, the first time I got married I was 23 years old. I didn\u2019t really have an understanding of marriage. Maybe I kind of romanticized it, I think, in a way. It\u2019s a different part of my life now. I feel like I\u2019m in a place in my life, I feel I\u2019m able to make more active choices. I\u2019m more present, I think, than I\u2019ve been before.”<\/p>\n
