Nicole Kidman was reportedly in tears at a pre-Golden Globes party<\/a> on Saturday in Beverly Hills as she learned her house in Sydney was under threat due to the devastating bushfires ravaging the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so sorry. I\u2019m distracted right now with everything happening in Australia,\u201d Kidman was reported as saying as she arrived to a flurry of press and publicists surrounding her.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was very poised, taking photos and talking with [actors] Joey King and Josh Dallas,\u201d a witness told\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cShe had a whole crowd around her and no one knew what she had just experienced. It was sad to watch, but also showed how professional she is to still show up and do what is required of her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Soon after, Kidman shared an Instagram post noting organizations her six million followers could donate to in order to help the firefighters and relief centers. \u201c<\/strong>Our family\u2019s support, thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia,\u201d Kidman said. \u201cWe are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tonight, she was stunning in red as she arrived at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards with her husband Keith Urban close by.<\/p>\n

Kidman is nominated for Best Actress In A Drama Series award at tonight\u2019s Golden Globes for her role as Celeste in Big Little Lies<\/em>. She will go head-to-head with Jennifer Aniston (The Morning Show<\/em>), Reese Witherspoon (The Morning Show<\/em>), Olivia Colman (The Crown<\/em>) and Jodie Comer (Killing Eve<\/em>). In 2018, Kidman took home a Golden Globe for the same role and gave one of the most memorable speeches in the award show\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis character that I play represents something that is the center of our conversation right now: abuse,” she said to a captivated auditorium. “I do believe and I hope that we can elicit change through the stories we tell and the way we tell them. Let\u2019s keep the conversation alive. Let\u2019s do this.\u201d<\/p>\n
